Co-Founder and Chiropractor

I am originally from Fort Dodge, Iowa. Growing up, I enjoyed competing in a variety of sports, especially track and field. My love for track brought me to the University of Northern Iowa where I competed at the collegiate level. This is where I met my beautiful wife, Laryssa. We got married in October 2015, and have been on a wonderful adventure ever since.

I love spending time with my wife being active outside, especially on the water. I enjoy reading and learning more about different areas of chiropractic, along with leadership and motivational skills.

Currently, I am working on my diplomate in Pediatric Chiropractic through the ICPA program. I am also working on another diplomate in Funcitonal Neurology!  I am excited to use what I have learned to serve children of all ages and their families.  I love learning and will continue to educate myself so I can give everyone the best care that they deserve.

During my high school years I was diagnosed with an immune system problem called Primary Immunodeficiency. I tried everything in the medical realm with very little results. For four years I continued to decline, I was consistently sick or injured, in and out of the hospital and not getting better. My health conditions got me to the point where I could not live my infinite life. In my second year of college, I had to quit running because my body wasn't functioning properly. After trying what I felt like was everything, by the grace of God I found a chiropractor that assessed my nervous system and found the cause of my problem. Within a few months of care I was no longer getting sick at all and it was then that I realized what my calling in life was. My decision to become a chiropractor brought me to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I was excited to learn about the profession that helped me so much. I still love learning about chiropractic. The human body is an amazing thing, and when given a true conflict-free opportunity, can live a life of infinite health.

I am so honored to be working along side my husband, Dr. Josh in helping our community reach their infinite health. I have always had a passion for helping people, and God-willing at our practice, we will be able to do so. Everyone deserves to live their life with as little limitations as possible, and that is what we strive for.

While not working on office things, I love being active outside and spending time with my husband, our families and our friends. I have been blessed with wonderful opportunities throughout my life, I pray, through specific chiropractic care, we are able to help others do the activities and dreams that they strive to do.

Before I start my chiropractic story, which is a bit long, but I feel worth the read, I want to share a few things. I used to be very skeptical of chiropractic. I never knew what a chiropractor really was until I met my husband at college. I saw chiropractors as just doctors who worked with back pain, car accidents and did all sorts of "cracking". What I began to learn, was that they are so much more than that, and that chiropractic is way beyond what I could have ever thought it to be. That is why I encourage you to EDUCATE yourself. Sometimes we think we know, but until we really look at the facts and learn what it is we are possibly afraid of, we will never be able to fully understand the unknown.

In 8th Grade, I got my first menstrual cycle. After a few months of them being inconsistent, I was told I most likely had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which ran in my family. I was put on medication to start regulating my cycle. I was awful at taking medication, so from 8th grade up to my senior year of college, I was off and on the medication for regulating my period. After I met Dr. Josh, he started to educate me on side effects of taking the drug, and after that, I made the decision to go off for good. I wanted to try to get my cycle the natural way. Now, what does chiropractic have anything to do with that...? I had a work related injury to my neck, and Dr. Josh encouraged me to go see a chiropractor. As skeptical as I was, I said yes and started my chiropractic journey and saw great results. Once Dr. Josh went to chiropractic school and I had graduated college, I started learning more. At this point, I had not gotten my cycle for a few months. After a few visits and specific chiropractic care, I had gotten my cycle for the first time in about four months. This was huge for me! Fast forward about a half a year. As I was driving up to our wedding in Minnesota, I got in a car accident. After Josh and I got married, I moved to the Quad Cities. I started seeing a chiropractor for the accident. A huge concern of mine has always been not being able to conceive due to inconsistent cycles. After receiving care for a few weeks, I got my cycle for the first time in about seven months! I continued following the care plan he had set up for me, and when the next month rolled around, I got my cycle again. TWO MONTHS IN A ROW! I was beyond excited. It has been about six months since and I continue to get my cycle every month.

Chiropractic has done more than just pain relief for me. It has given me hope at the possibility of someday being able to conceive a child. I started my chiropractic journey at the end of 2012 and now in 2016, after following my care plan, I am truly seeing the results. It has been a rollercoaster and sometimes a rough road with not seeing the immediate results. But, God is good, and has beyond blessed me with the opportunities to learn and receive specific chiropractic care. I look forward to seeing what happens as my body continues to heal, and I am excited to help others along their journey's as well.

Dr. Tyler Davis

Dr. TylerI am a Des Moines native, growing up on the south side of Des Moines until about 10 years old, when my parents moved my family to Waukee. While living in Waukee, I mostly played baseball throughout middle and high school and worked part-time at the local Hy-Vee. After graduating in 2008, I took classes for two years at the University of Iowa. I graduated Palmer with my Doctorate in Chiropractic, as well as my B.S. in General Sciences. In my free time, I love hanging out with my wife, being outdoors, seeing friends and building on my personal and professional skills by reading and listening to various books. I have also begun to experiment with woodworking projects around the house. As if joining the Infinity Chiropractic team isn’t exciting enough, my wife Amanda and I are expecting our first child in March 2018! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to move back home to Waukee as we expand our new family. Currently, I am working on numerous goals, one of which involves learning all about the Functional Neurology work Dr. Josh incorporates at Infinity Chiropractic. Among future learning goals, I plan to ultimately earn my diplomate in Pediatrics and Functional Neurology.

My first Chiropractic exposure was while working at a Hy-Vee in Iowa City. I met a long-practicing Chiropractor who needed help finding ingredients for some crazy recipe to help boost his immune function. The longer we talked, the more I realized how critical the communication of the nervous system is to the function of the body and a person’s overall quality and longevity of life. My biggest take away at that moment was empowering; health isn’t something that just happens to you. By taking the proper steps, every person can take control of their own health. A few short years later I found myself at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where I was finally able to rid myself of the chronic back pain I had. While in the Palmer Clinic, I had the fortune of being under the Pediatric staff doctor. Each day I’ve had the pleasure of adjusting kids and babies. My favorite part of adjusting kids is knowing how much larger their life trajectory is when they are under consistent care to ensure that their body functions at its best, 100% of the time. My career has just begun and already I’ve seen so many incredible effects after adjusting my patients: improved behaviors, expressing emotions to their parents, crawling and walking when they weren’t before, better immune systems and kids that actually love going to the doctor. I am excited to be part of the Infinity team in providing answers and hope to the families who think there is none or want more out of their life.

I am so excited to be working with Dr. Josh and Laryssa here at Infinity and getting to know all about the chiropractic field. I grew up in Olathe, Kansas until I was 14 when I moved to West Des Moines for my dad's job. I am currently a senior at Waukee High School and plan to attend Point Loma Nazarene University in the fall to study nursing. I am hoping this experience will help me gain the knowledge I need for my future career as I want to be a pediatric optometrist, specializing in vision therapy. I am forever grateful to Dr. Josh and Laryssa for this opportunity they have given me and love every day of it!

For as long as I can remember, I have always had headaches. I typically wake up with one and go all day with it while occasionally taking medicine to ease them a bit. Around 9th grade, I started to avoid reading at any cost because it only worsened the headaches. I had always loved reading as a child so avoiding it was something my mom took notice of. I started many different medications and methods to try and help the headaches over the next 2 years but nothing seemed to really work. In the spring of my junior year, I went in for my annual eye exam with Dr. Heidi Bell and she wanted to test me for reflexes that might be affecting my headaches as well as recommend me for vision therapy. She referred me to Dr. Josh here at Infinity and I found out I had a Moro reflex. I have been working with Dr. Josh since May to get rid of the reflex in hopes of helping my headaches as well. Over the last few months not only is my reflex gone, but my headaches have dramatically gotten so much better! They are not completely gone, but the difference is very noticeable and has made a huge impact on helping me begin to like reading again as well as prepare me better for vision therapy at Elite Eye Care in West Des Moines. I'm looking forward to seeing how my headaches will improve with my continuation of care, as well as working here to see how others lives are impacted with Dr. Josh's care.
